Demonstration in Biatorbagy, Hungary

Yesterday evening we have left Vienna. Destination: Romania. The border to Hungary took incredibly long – 3 hours. Consequently we came too late for the campsite and had to stay at the petrol station...no serious problem, the action mobile is comfortable enough for 5 people.
This morning we joined a demonstration in Biatorbagy West of Budapest against the construction of a new PVC cable factory, it was mainly organized by local civil groups and some Hungarian organizations. It was the pleasure to realize how warmly Greenpeace was welcomed. The last banners were painted just ten minutes before the start. The police was missing so we had to improvise also with the traffic coordination. But the demonstration was very nice, a lot of local participants, many colourful creative banner and lot of media…Hungarian obviously never misses environmental actions.
