Today at the info event in Bistrica we started a test with signature lists.
People shall protest against the Rosia Montana goldmining plans by giving their name, adress and signature on our petition. I was very sceptic if the Romanian people would give their name...i was afraid that they were afraid to tell their opinion.
But I was wrong. It was incredible how many people signed the list...young people, old people, officers, nearly everybody who came to our Actionbus signed...every 15 minutes a Romanian volunteer came into the Actionbus and asking for more copies of the blank list...in the end of the day we had around 250 signatures against the project...much more than we usually get at Austrian info days... I am looking forward to the day when we will hand them over to the company in Rosia Montana. But of course therefore we need many more...

Soon we will leave for Dej..tomorrow we will have an info event there and a meeting with the Somes Dej paper factory...in July we have done an action against them.. we will see how the meeting will be...but before we will have a great dinner...the grandmother of an activist living near Bistrita offered to cook original Romanian food for us...
